Private house, Italy

The minimalism of this modern private home is transformed into a “blank canvas” for the luminous creations of Catellani & Smith.
The neutral tones of walls, architectural elements, furniture, and wall coverings set the stage for the precious materials, finishes, and details of the lamps selected for the interior design project.
The new Ensō wall lamp, with its intense blue colour, adds character to the cozy dining area, illuminating the round table and black seats. The aluminium structure of this sculptural lamp stands out with its irregular surface and an LED light source hidden behind it. To enrich the space, two custom EC 301 pendant lamps have been installed above the table, providing a direct and functional lighting.
In the living room, the Petits Bijoux pendant lamp immediately catches the eye thanks to its large dimension. Untreated brass rings, adorned with transparent LED covers, form a “deconstructed” sphere that seems to expand into the space.
This version differs from the standard model, since the custom-designed base is a cylindrical shape created to fit a sloping ceiling. The lamp was installed to illuminate not only the living room but also to give light to the staircase leading to the mezzanine area, where a U. wall lamp in white finish can be found.
For this elevated space, a Fil de Fer floor lamp in matt gold anodized aluminium wire was chosen. Small LED lights embedded within the lamp accentuate the golden tone, creating a warm and enveloping lighting effect.
In the children’s room, two Lederam W lamps with white discs and gold-coloured leaf finish have been installed: one of the lamps contrasts beautifully against a background of wallpaper featuring tree trunk patterns. On the bedside table, the Ale table lamp adds a playful and dynamic touch with its bright blue, red and yellow primary colours. Thanks to its integrated battery, Ale table lamp can be easily moved anywhere, and its semi-spherical shade allows the LED light beam to be directed precisely. In another room, the same lamp illuminates a small niche in the wall, creating an intimate and evocative corner.
To complete the interior design, Lederam C150 with screen and white disc embellishes the ceiling with exposed beams. The larger disc reflects light from the LED module in the lower disc, diffusing a luminous aura that envelops the entire room.
Completing the interior design is the Lederam C150 lamp, with a white shade and disc, adding elegance to the ceiling with exposed beams. The larger disc reflects light from the LED module housed in the smaller disc below, diffusing a soft glow that envelops the entire room.
