Catellani & Smith customises light in Marseille
The iconic lamp Fil de Fer, made of aluminium wire expertly sculpted, intertwined by hand and lit up by small LED sources, has been developed in a full range of customizable lights, that are available in several shapes and different sizes, to bring a touch of magic to indoor and outdoor spaces, without limits to your imagination.
And it is precisely Fil de Fer that lights up the new headquarters of MailInBlack in Marseilles, located in a jewel of the nineteenth-century French architecture.
The interior, richly decorated with stucco and elegant details, has been recently renovated in full respect of the original project, complemented with stylish design furnishing in neutral colour.
This is the ideal background to leave the lighting fittings by Catellani & Smith interact among themselves: there are custom-made versions of Fil de Fer that create a proper scenography and fluctuate like clouds in mid-air in the halls and along the elegant main staircase, inviting the guests to go upstairs and explore all the spaces that are located on the different floors of the building.
