“To mark this year’s Fuorisalone, I enthusiastically accepted the proposal of my friend Sergio Riva to take part in his interesting project. The intention was to pay tribute to what highlighted the beginning of my adventure and the start of my collaboration with Dilmos, nearly thirty years ago.
Precisely for this reason, the key components of the objects created are bulbs and the “flex”, now distinctive features of Catellani & Smith products, which have been reinterpreted and presented in a new version, which is completely different from the past but, at the same time, intends to pay it homage. The modification of certain details and the adoption of new technical solutions have been combined with new finishes. The result is a limited series of special items, which include floor and ceiling lamps, as well as a modular suspended lighting composition, whose main feature is that it can be extended to infinity.
My thoughts go to my friend Andrea Salvetti, to whom I dedicate this installation.”
